IT'S OKAY TO TAKE A BREAK SOMETIMES

Updated: Apr 17, 2022

When you first start a business, you can become extremely excited and motivated to start to build everything you can to make the business grow. You become a marketer, salesman, creator, developer, CEO, and any other titles you may take on. You become so engrossed in your business that you start to think about it constantly and your sleep deprivation increases. Does this sound like you? If it doesn’t then stop reading…just kidding, feel to read on. Well, this is the experience for me.

I have learned the growing pains of starting a business and trying to do everything to make it grow so that it can become a legitimate company. I am in still in the process and am logging my journey. I understand the pitfalls of starting a company and how it can affect your health if you let it consume you. While it’s great that you pursue your passion, don’t let it affect your health or your relationships. Those two above all are more important. They provide the stability you need to help you better focus on your business. When you get to the point where your business does affect your health and relationships, it’s time to take a break from it and relax. That could mean going on a minivacation, doing some more exercise, getting off your phone for a few days or just a few hours, getting a massage, or getting a few drinks at your local bar with friends. I believe that this can help reinvigorate your spirit, make you more focused, and ease any potential burnout or stress. You'll come back with a fervor towards your business. You'll hustle like no tomorrow and you'll appreciate every second of the journey you'll take.

In the end, you must learn to create a balance between your business as well as your health and relationships. If you do, you’ll be a much better and happier person. I can only speak from my experience and hopefully inspire you to do the same.
